A highly interesting long weekend comes to an end and our new 2022 Bundeschampions of dressage horses have been determined.
Champions of the 7-year old dressage horses
The Dimaggio x Sir Donnerhall I gelding Dos Amigos and Leonie Richter secured the victory of the 7-year-old dressage horses with an impressive score of 80.948 %. This pair already convinced at the qualification of the Nuremberg Burgpokal. They brought the same quality to the 2022 Bundeschampionat, taking the title after the judges’ conviction and the spectators’ enthusiasm. “I always hoped that if everything went well, he would make it to the finals. But that he is then in the front, I did not expect,” rider Leonie Richter rejoiced.

The 6-year-old stallion Maxi Kraft’s Barcelo OLD, a Bon Coeur x Caprimond gelding, was able to take the victory of the 6-year-old dressage horses together with Tessa Frank. The gelding convinced with his even-temperedness. “We have seen a decidedly dynamic horse here, with a high degree of elasticity, plenty of ground cover, good thrust and a consistent cadence on curved lines,” said Dr. Dietrich Plewa, praising the performance on behalf of the judges.
The gelding Final Dream (Franziskus x Weltmeyer) and Kira Goerens-Ripphof secured the win in the 5-year-old dressage horses.
